Mr. Daryl Morton is in his fourth term on the Bibb County Board of Education in the At-Large, Post 7 position, and serves as President of the Board and Vice Chair of the Audit Review Committee.

A Macon native, Mr. Morton graduated from Tattnall Square Academy before going on to receive his undergraduate degree from Furman University. He received his law degree from the University of Georgia and began practicing law in the state of Georgia in 1986.

A career attorney, Mr. Morton represents clients for Social Security claims throughout the state of Georgia. He has been admitted to the Eleventh Circuit Court of Appeals and the Northern, Middle and Southern Districts of the Federal Courts in Georgia.

“There is no question when it comes to success in public schools that it takes all of us working together. We want to continue to be successful,” he said. “Every child is someone's grandchild, someone's child or relative. I'm going to make sure every child has the opportunity for a great education.”

Mr. Morton has served as President and Treasurer of the Board of Education.

He has also served on the Board of Directors of the Georgia Children’s Museum and The Miracle League.
