Mrs. Kristin Hanlon is in her second term representing District 3 on the Bibb County Board of Education and serves as Treasurer of the Board, Chair of the Fiscal and Support Services Committee, Vice Chair of the Personnel Services Committee and Chair of the Audit Review Committee.

Originally from Minnesota, Mrs. Hanlon attended Countryside Elementary School and Edina West Junior High School before attending Attucks Middle School and graduating from Hollywood Hills High School in Hollywood, Florida. She then graduated from Florida State University with Bachelor’s degrees in Accounting and Finance.

Mrs. Hanlon has been a Certified Public Accountant in the State of Georgia since 1989. She is currently the Senior Vice President and Senior Credit Officer at OneSouth Bank in Macon, after serving in similar roles at Reunion Student Loan Finance Corp., Wells Fargo and SunTrust.

“Great schools are an essential element of vibrant and growing communities,” she said. “Strong school systems draw new families to the area, increasing population growth, attracting industries and jobs, and creating opportunities for young people to stay in the area to work and, in turn, raise their families. My goal is to ensure that every family in Bibb County has confidence that their children will receive a great education in a safe environment in Bibb County Schools, which prepares them for college or a career.”

Previously, Mrs. Hanlon served as Treasurer of the Bibb County Board of Education in 2022 and 2023, as well as Chair of the Fiscal Support Services Committee.
