The Board typically holds (2) two regular meetings each month. Regular meetings are held on the second and fourth Wednesday at the Education Center, unless otherwise noted on the Regular Board Meeting schedule. Special Board meetings will be scheduled as needed, and all meetings will be noticed in alignment with the Ralph M. Brown Act.
 

Open Session of Board Meetings are livestreamed and recorded, and made available for viewing on the District's website at https://natomasunified.org/board-of-trustees/videos/. Those in attendance should expect that the recordings will capture all activity and discussions before, during, and after meetings.

 

Public Comment - In accordance with Board Bylaw 9323 - Meeting Conduct, individuals wishing to address the Board on any matter within their subject matter jurisdiction shall submit a public comment card before the Board of Trustees begin considering the first action item on the agenda. When recognized by the Board President, individuals shall be allowed two minutes to address the Board. Please note that the Board shall limit the total time for public input on each item to 20 minutes and that Government Code Section 54954.2(a) limits the ability of Board Members to respond to public comments. In order to ensure that non-English speakers receive the same opportunity to directly address the Board, any member of the public who utilizes an interpreter shall be provided at least twice the allotted time to address the Board, unless simultaneous translation equipment is used to allow the Board to hear the translated public testimony simultaneously. (Government Code 54954.3)


Language Interpretation Services - Interpretation services at regular board meetings for public comments will be provided by district interpreters, interpreter services, or language interpretation software. A Spanish language interpreter will be present and available at all regular board meetings, and a form will be available to request interpretation services. For all other languages or for special board meetings, interpretation service requests should be made as soon as possible, but at least 24 hours before the scheduled board meeting.
