The Oglethorpe County Board of Education consists of five members who are elected to staggered, four-year terms representing individual districts.  The regular business meetings take place on the second Tuesday of each month, and the work sessions take place two weeks prior to this.  Meetings are held at 7:00 p.m. in the boardroom of the central office at 735 Athens Road, Lexington, GA 30648.
