**Action recommended: Move to set the tax levy for operations at  $3.5840 (Three dollars and fifty-eight and 40 hundredths cents)  and debt service at $1.1902 (one dollar and nineteen and 02 hundredths cents)  for a total levy of  $4.7742 (Four dollars and seventy-seven and 42 hundredths cents), a decrease of $0.2944 per $100 of assessed valuation.

The tax rate hearing is designed to provide an opportunity for public comment on the District's proposed levies for the coming year. The board president should announce the purpose of the hearing and ask Dr. White to present the proposed levy information. Questions and comments from the board should be followed by an invitation for questions and comments from the audience. After the discussion, a motion to approve the levy would be in order.

The levy projections are based on a total assessed valuation (sum of real estate and personal property) equaling $459,194,388 (including new construction). 

The levy recommendation for 2021-22 school year is $3.5840 which is a decrease of $0.2944 from last year's general levy. The Debt Service levy will remain the same at $1.1902. The total levy will be $4.7742.
