Recommendation
Approve agreement with BlueFrame Technology for live streaming services as presented.
Summary
The activities department recommends that the district continues our live-streaming platform partnership with BlueFrame Technology. BlueFrame is currently partnered with MSHSAA and provides a user-friendly platform with additional options for live-streaming our events.
Advantages for why we use BlueFrame Platform for live streaming:
Live Streaming events at lower-level competitions are user-friendly and increase viewing opportunities.
All live and archived events can be viewed for free or on a pay-per-view (PPV) basis on the MSHSAA.tv platform.
Archived events will be available for 1 calendar year from the broadcast date. Revenue shares from PPV or pay-per-download (PPD)
We can continue broadcasting while playing music.
The additional streaming option will allow programs to collect revenue from pay-per-view options. Examples are our 2020 Fall Musical and Wrestling Tournaments.
Post Season MSHSAA Contests:
MSHSAA is contracted with Blueframe and there will be no media rights fees required for postseason streaming.
MSHSAA and BlueFrame will determine the PPV and PPD pricing for postseason events. The School District retains advertising rights for regular-season contests. The District’s content will be shown on the MSHSAA.tv platform.
