The Superintendent recommends placing Policy JR - Student Records on the table for public review unitl the next regularly scheduled meeting.

This revision is required by the passage of The Student Data Privacy, Accessibility, and Transparency Act by the Georgia Legislature in 2015. The act required that within six months of the adoption of model policies by the Georgia Department of Education each local board of education shall adopt policies and procedures that include at a minimum, such model policies and procedures.  The addition of the suggested text in red adds language from the model policies that wasn't already included in the existing policy.
