Proposals were received from 2 suppliers, Claridge East and Shiffler.  Claridge East provided the lowest cost proposal and has successfully provided visual display boards to Barrow County Schools in the past. The recommendation is to award the Visual Display Board Provision Contract to Claridge East.

Proposals were received from 4 firms to unload and install the Visual Display Boards. Coomes Mechanical provided the lowest proposal.  Coomes Mechanical is located in Comer Ga., and currently is working on HUD projects.  They will be a new contractor to the Barrow County School System but appear to have the insurance and manpower to complete the project successfully.  Recommendation is to award the Visual Display Board Installation Contract to Coomes Mechanical.
