Authorize the purchase of HP Chromebooks for the new elementary school from low bid respondent SHI International out of Somerset, NJ, in the amount of $47,955.00 for 300 Chromebooks ($159.85 per Chromebook).

 

Additionally, authorize the use of this RFP response for future purchases in the next 90 days, subject to normal board purchasing policies of notification and approval.

Winder Elementary School will be primarily using Chromebooks for student devices. An RFP was published and 21 vendors responded with 23 proposals. Two vendors offered discounted pricing if purchased in the month of April, as shown below.

We have previously done business with SHI International. They are not listed adversely in the SAM.GOV database and have no complaints filed against them with the Better Business Bureau.

$47,955 out of Winder Elementary Schools technology construction funds.
