	Performance Objective A-Ensure mastery of the Common Core Georgia Performance Standards
	Performance Objective C-Close the achievement gap between subpopulations
	Performance Objective D-Improve the graduation rate
	Performance Objective E-Adequately prepare students to be post-secondary and/or work ready

Recommendation

Respectfully submitted for approval of CTAE Local Plan – State and Federal Grants.

Summary

Perkins IV Federal grants and several State grants are available annually for application. These grants support the continuation and improvement of Career, Technical, and Agricultural Education (CTAE) activities, initiatives, and programs in the Barrow County School System.

These grants have been completed using the input and expertise of Barrow County School staff and CTAE Advisory Committee members.

Financial Impact

The Barrow County School System will receive approximately $272,686 in State and Federal Grants. In addition, Construction-Related Equipment funds are available through the LEA Consolidated Application. Equipment grant applications total $40,500 for FY18 and $36,000 for FY19.
