The Superintendent recommends the stadium complex at Apalachee High School retain the name, “R. Harold Harrison Stadium” for the next 30 years, in the event they are able to fund the grant request.

Apalachee High School has applied for grant funds through the Luther and Susie Harrison Foundation for a second field house located at their stadium complex.  The anticipated cost of the facility would be in excess of $1,000,000 and the grant request is for full funding of the project.  This field house would provide additional restroom and concession facilities as well as locker and meeting room space for several sports including girls soccer and track, boys baseball, and football. 

The school is asking for full funding of the project in their grant request. 

The Foundation has responded to Apalachee High School asking if the stadium can retain the name, “R. Harold Harrison Stadium” for a period of 30 years in the event they are able to fund the grant request.
