Rationale | ||||||||
The Maintenance Department has 19 technicians and each currently has a service van, with one additional van used as a spare. However, 7 of these vans/box trucks are over 15 years old and have surpassed their service life. These vehicles are constantly being taken out of service for repairs which greatly disrupts the technicians work schedule and their ability to resolve Service Requests. Tools and parts are stored in their vans, which are not easily accessible when the vans are taken out of service for repairs. The Technicians need reliable work vehicles to provide the best service possible to the school system. |
