The Superintendent recommended Smallwood, Reynolds, Stewart and Stewart to provide design services for renovation and modification work associated with future improvements to Yargo Elementary School and Westside Middle School.

System Operations received proposals from 11 different architectural firms at the end of 2017.  Each of these firms presented impressive K-12 design credentials with the highest scoring firm, Cunningham, Forehand, Matthews, and Moore selected for design services on the new high school project.  The above recommendation is based on a selection of the 2^nd and 3^rd highest scoring firms to perform this renovation and modification design work. 

A fixed 5% fee on the total cost of construction to be funded out of SPLOST V. 

Our 5 Year Local Facilities Plan shows sections of Yargo Elementary, Westside Middle, and Apalachee High as the next projects in line to receive renovation and/or modification improvements.  In an effort to be prepared to perform this work when construction funds become available it is our recommendation to begin the necessary design work on these projects at this time.
