The Superintendent recommended the purchase of Video Insight security camera software from low bid respondent TechOptics of Winder, GA, in the amount of $32,580.40.

Our existing security camera monitoring software has not aged well, lacks features, and has technical issues. We have been testing Video Insight as a replacement at Winder Elementary School since it opened, and are well pleased with its functionality and reliability.

Additionally, our current software is up for renewal and the costs are prohibitive. $53,000 one time cost, and $23,650/year thereafter. The Video Insight pricing is a one time fee.

An RFP was posted, and 3 vendors responded. Low bid respondent TechOptics met the terms of the RFP and we have successfully done business with them before. They are not adversely listed in the sam.gov database.
