Gateway Community Charters, Inc. (GCC) is an independent non-profit agency that supports students, parents and the community through the conception, development, administration and governance of innovative, high quality, standards-based educational school choice options within the greater Sacramento region.

Vision

Our GCC vision is to provide all students, regardless of circumstance, a safe, caring school choice with high academic and behavioral expectations where they can reach their fullest academic and social potential.

Goals

Priority #1- Learning: It is our duty to continuously adapt and innovate in our teaching methodologies, ensuring that every student is catered to and no one is left behind.
Priority #2- Leadership: Every team member is a beacon of guidance. It's upon us to demonstrate, through our actions, the values we wish to see in our students.
Priority #3- Well-Being: Our students and staff's mental and emotional wellbeing has to remain a priority, and it's upon us to foster a nurturing environment.
Priority #4- Equity: We must proactively create an environment where every student and staff, regardless of their background, feels seen, heard, and valued.
Priority #5- Opportunities: We owe it to our students to broaden their horizons, offering many opportunities for growth, exploration,
and discovery.
Priority #6- Engagement: To truly be effective educators, we must foster deeper connections with students, parents, and the community.
Goal #1- Student Achievement: Increase academic achievement for all learners and bridge the gap between diverse student populations by implementing research-based practices.
Goal #2 Parent/Caregiver and Community Investment and Support: Welcome, inform, and actively engage students, parents/caregivers, and educational partners regarding the educational priorities, processes, initiatives, challenges, and opportunities for growth within the GCC and each school.
Goal #3- Curriculum: Develop and utilize monitoring tools to ensure the effective integration and implementation of a school-specific Instructional Framework in alignment with the student-centered outcomes.
Goal #4- School Culture and Instructional Environment: All campuses and GCC facilities prioritize an educational environment informed by equity, ensuring that students' and staff's social and emotional needs, safety, and security are upheld.
Goal #5- College and Career Readiness: Develop programming that equips every student with the essential social, emotional, and academic skills required for college, career, and life success.
Goal #6- Highest Quality Staff: By implementing various strategies, recruit, develop, and retain a highly qualified and diverse faculty and staff.
Goal #7- Fiscal and Operational Efficiency and Sustainability: Improve, develop, and sustain systems and processes that build operational effectiveness to impact student and school success.
Goal #8- Governance and Leadership: Build, create, and implement a system that supports the success of all students, staff, and families.
