Address students’ basic and social emotional needs to enable improvements in academic performance.s.
DISTRICT GOAL
Develop and implement instructional supports and/or academic interventions in order to increase student performance in reading and math.
INDICATORS OF SUCCESS
Develop and present the Board with individual school improvement plans with a focus on culture, student achievement, social-emotional-behavioral-health, & communications.
Develop and provide the Board with progress monitoring data as related to the individual school improvement plan goals.
Present to the Board Early Literacy Assessment (FAST) & Iowa Statewide Assessment of Student Progress (ISASP) data, including intended next steps towards continuous improvement.
Develop and implement a framework for tracking student progress on essential standards.
DISTRICT FOCUS: COMMUNICATION
BORD FOCUS
Increase technology use to allow free flow of information to provide an environment of transparency and trust.
DISTRICT GOAL
Implement a proactive and consistent communications plan that employs a systemic platform framework, and measure the plan’s effectiveness by using the SCoPE survey at the end of the year.
INDICATORS OF SUCCESS
Develop and provide the Board with a communications framework.
Develop and provide the Board with roles, responsibilities, and action plans (including periodic action plan updates) as related to implementing the district communication plan.
Provide the Board with a SCoPE Survey analysis, intended to measure the communication plan’s effectiveness (by staff, parents, & community members).
On a quarterly basis, present progress monitoring data on collective commitments, including intended next steps towards continuous improvement.

Enhance leadership capacity with focus on Standards 4, 7, & 8 in the Iowa Standards for School Leaders.

DISTRICT GOAL
CPU will function as a Professional Learning Community by which educators will work collaboratively, in recurring cycles of collective inquiry and action research to achieve enhanced results for students.
INDICATORS OF SUCCESS
Develop and launch a highly organized “Instructional Center” which contains teaching and learning resources as well as student achievement results that are easily accessible by existing and new staff.
Direct and support the development of collaborative teams within each building as a means to ensure high levels of learning for all students.
Develop and implement a classroom walk-through framework, by which leadership provides ongoing formative feedback to staff.
Engage staff for feedback by conducting a Collaborative Culture Reality Survey with a target district average of 80% (21-22 Dist Avg: 63.48%); as well as conducting and reviewing with staff periodic 360 degree feedback survey results on these standards.
