SMBSD continues to provide viewing of Board Meetings via live stream for those unable to attend in-person. Regular Board Meetings may be viewed beginning at 6:00 p.m., by clicking HERE.

In compliance with the Americans with Disabilities Act, if you need special assistance to participate in this meeting, please contact the Superintendent's Office at (805) 928-1783 x 8111. Notification 48 hours prior to the meeting will enable the district to make reasonable arrangements to ensure accessibility to this meeting. The district may make an audio/video recording of Open Session Board Meetings. 

Interpretation is available at Board Meetings. A Spanish translation or interpretation of Board Meeting minutes and/or Board materials will be provided upon request. Requests should be made to the SMBSD translation office at (805) 928-1783 x 8118. 

The Board of Education is interested in hearing your comments on any Agenda Item or General Public Comment. Public Comments are intended for members of the public to address the Board of Education on items involving the school district. Such testimony shall be limited to three (3) minutes (or 450 words), per person/subject, and fifteen (15) minutes total in comments per topic. If an answer to a specific question is requested, the Board President will, if appropriate, direct administration to respond in writing.

To provide Public Comment prior to the meeting: 
Submit a recorded message for playback at the meeting:   You may submit your recorded public comment message by calling (805) 325 -8396.   Please provide your name (and spelling) and identify the topic of the public comment you are leaving a message for.  Messages should not exceed 3 minutes in length. 

To provide Public Comment at the meeting: 
In person: You may sign up prior to the meeting start time by completing a Request to Speak form, available at the front entry of the boardroom. Please turn your completed form in to the attendant prior to the beginning of the Open Session. 
By phone/zoom:  Please submit your information by clicking HERE. Requests to speak live at the meeting must be received by 3 p.m. the day of the meeting. At the appropriate time, and when called upon, you will be admitted virtually into the meeting room to speak.  

Please note that this form is defined as a public record under the California Public Records Act (CPRA), and is therefore subject to public disclosure upon request.
