In-Person:
If you choose to make a public statement, and you are present at the meeting, please complete the blue Request to Address the Board of Trustees form (at the meeting) and provide it to the Superintendent's Assistant, and you will be called upon during the agendized item or during Public Statements on Non-Agenda Items for statements on items that are not on the agenda.
If your comment is on an item that is NOT on the agenda, then you will be asked to speak during the "Public Statements Related to Non-Agenda Items" at the end of the meeting. If your comment is on an item that is on the agenda, you will be called on to speak at the time of the agenda item.

Please note that there is a three (3) minute time limit per person, per topic, twenty-one (21) minutes total. The president may, in consultation with the board, adjust the time to accommodate large groups. Speakers may not cede time.
Virtual: NEW PROCESS AS OF 3/12/24
If you are virtual and wish to make a public statement, you may email your statement to info@burlingameschools.org. Your written public statement must be received 24 hours in advance of the meeting (typically this would be 5:30 p.m. on a Monday (for regular Tuesday meeting)). The Board will review all written public comments in advance of the board meeting, and they will NOT be read aloud at the board meeting, and you will not be called upon to read them aloud. At the same time, written public comments are provided to the Board, they will be made available to the public. They will be linked at the bottom of the agenda (see screenshot below for an example).
