Performance Objectives, Measure and Targets

- Objective 1-Students will demonstrate a two point increase in proficiency for 9-12 students on the Georgia milestones - EOCs in English, Mathematics, Science, and Social Studies as measured by scoring proficient or above.
- Objective 2-Students will demonstrate a two point increase of fifth and eighth grade students will demonstrate a proficiency on the ELA section of the state GMAP assessment each year in Reading and Writing as measured by the students score proficient or higher.
- Objective 3-Students will demonstrate a two point increase of fifth and eighth grade students will demonstrate a proficiency on the Mathematics section of the state GMAP assessment each year as measured by the students score proficient or higher.
- Objective 4-Polk School District will improve the graduation rate for the district by 2% through demonstration of improvement in English, Math, Science, and Social Studies as measured by the graduation rate for the CCRPI
- Objective 5-Demonstrate a behavior of regular education teachers working collaboratively with special education teachers on co-teaching strategies as measured by formal observational data.
- Objective 1-Polk School District teachers will demonstrate a level of proficiency in implementing best practices for instruction in all classrooms as measured by the use of the TKES Observation instrument.
- Objective 2-Polk School District will develop partnership with businesses, industries, public agencies, and the community to promote shared use of services and facilities.
- Objective 3-Polk School District will demonstrate behaviors assuring all graduating seniors are college and career ready as measured by the graduation requirements and CCRPI.
- Objective 4-Polk School District will demonstrate behaviors in providing educational opportunities for students who experience difficulties within the regular school setting as measured by the referrals to Crossroads Academy during tribunals.
- Objective 5-Polk School District will work to decrease the number of disciplinary infractions through the implementation of behavioral interventions and strategies provided to teachers.
- Objective 6-Polk School District will demonstrate actions to increase community/parental involvement and communications concerning student achievement and progress in all schools, as well as providing opportunities for all children from birth to five-years of age to paticipate in high quality learning experiences as measured by participation and perception surveys
- Objective 7-Polk School District will collaborate to develop a quality nutritional program with increased participation as measured by the participation rate of students in grades K-12. Polk School DIstrict encourages school cultures that fosters sensitive and responsiveness to the socio-economic make-up of the community.
- Objective 8-Polk School District will increase safety and security measures at each school and facility.
- Objective 1-Polk School District will demonstrate proficiency in meeting compliance in the areas of school size and maximum class size by the percent of school falling within the set class size rule established by the GaDOE.
- Objective 2-Polk School District will conduct evaluations on all facilities on an annual basis to address all interior and exterior needs as measure by a completed prioritized list per school.
- Objective 3-Polk School District will conduct an annual audit of schools to collect information relating to personnel as measured by the Georgia Department of Education's System Allotment Sheet.
- Objective 4-Polk School District will demonstrate a proficiency in the annual financial audit conducted by the Georgia Department of Audits as measured by the Government Auditing Standards for internal controls and compliance.
- Objective 5-Polk School District will recognizes that SPLOST and capital outlay funds are limited, and that priorities must be established to make the best use of the funds to support and accommodate the district's educational programs.
- Objective 1-Polk School District will utilize an in-house professional learning approach to training personnel as measured by having 100% participation of certified staff at each school on the identified learning need.
- Objective 2-Polk School District will provide new teacher orientation and a new teacher mentoring program to all first year teachers, with the expectation of 100% participation as measure by the completion of the program.
- Objective 3-The district will attract 100% highly qualified teachers and work to retain teacher as measured by the attrition rate for Polk School District.
