- Strategy A-Provide rigorous instruction that engages all learners and provides them with the foundational skills needed to be successful in the classroom and beyond.
- Strategy B-Expect all students to graduate from high school on time, well prepared for college or career.
- Strategy A-Provide on-going, high quality professional learning for all faculty and staff members based on observed and perceived needs.
- Strategy B-Build relationships within the school community to foster a positive, safe, and innovative learning environment.
- Strategy A-Facilitate open, effective communication and encourage stakeholder engagement in the work of the school system.

Initiatives, Action Steps

- - Action Step 1-Align curriculum, instruction, and assessment practices to support mastery of the standards.
  - Action Step 2-Provide technology to students and faculty to facilitate personalized learning and optimize mastery of the standards and increase post-secondary career readiness.
  - Action Step 3-Design learning tasks and opportunities that are challenging, require problem solving, capitalize on student interests and promote creative but viable solutions.
- - Action Step 1-Provide students with quality advisement to ensure that they are on track to graduate and are enrolled in courses that will challenge them appropriately including advanced courses at all levels, dual enrollment, and CTAE classes.
  - Action Step 2-Intervene when students are struggling by maximizing flexible learning time, tailoring support to meet specific student needs and offering unit and credit recovery options when possible to keep students in school and on track to graduate.
- - Action Step 1-Conduct a Professional Learning Needs Assessment annually and use those results along with the Comprehensive Needs Assessment to prioritize professional learning initiatives.
  - Action Step 2-Leverage the power of in-house professional learning communities to support school and district goals.
  - Action Step 3-Nurture and support new teachers and leaders through the New Teacher Induction plan and the Leadership Consortia.
- - Action Step 1-Encourage opportunities for the school community to meet, recognize, and celebrate successes.
  - Action Step 2-Prioritize building relationships with each learner, reaching out particularly to students who may be struggling in the classroom or are not engaged in the school community through counseling, advisement, and mentoring.
  - Action Step 3-Perpetuate a safe, orderly, high performing learning environment with a culture that is respectful of all learners and their families.
  - Action Step 4-Fully implement, sustain, and support a viable and robust PBIS program at all five school in the district.
- - Action Step 1-Utilize a variety of methods including technology and social media to engage stakeholders in the work of the school system including our mission, challenges, and successes.
  - Action Step 2-Support the efficacy of our local school governance teams and provide technical support as they serve their respective school community.
  - Action Step 3-Develop an early learning partnership with businesses, public and private organizations, and the community at large as we strive to "Get Georgia Reading" to improve early literacy in our area.
