WELCOME TO OUR GOVERNING BOARD MEETING AGENDA SITE 
The Board Agenda for scheduled meetings is typically posted the Friday prior to a Tuesday meeting. You are welcome to browse any current or past meeting. The agenda for the most current meeting will be visible by clicking the Board Meeting located on the right: The public is invited to attend the Open Session portion of the Meeting, which begins at 5:30 p.m. unless otherwise stated below. Members of the public may address the Board of Trustees by following the public comment process which is highlighted in blue in the section below entitled "Public Information". Please scroll down to that section to access the link to submit any public comments.

Regular meetings of the Romoland School District Board of Trustees are typically held at 5:30 p.m., unless otherwise noted, (Closed Session at 4:30 p.m., unless otherwise noted, and Open Session to the Public at 5:30 p.m., unless otherwise noted) on the second Tuesday of each month (exceptions noted) at the District Office Administration Center, 25900 Leon Road, Homeland, CA.  92548.

PUBLIC INFORMATION
Agendas of public meetings and any other writings distributed to all, or a majority of, District Board members in connection with a matter subject to discussion or consideration at an open meeting of the Board are public records. If such writing is distributed less than 72 hours prior to a public meeting, the writing will be made available for public inspection at the District Office, located at 25900 Leon Road, Homeland at the time the writing is distributed to all, or a majority of, District Board members. The District also may post the writing on its Internet website at www.romoland.net.

Upon request, this agenda will be made available in appropriate alternative formats to persons with disabilities, as required by Section 202 of the Americans with Disabilities Act of 1990. Any person with a disability, who requires a modification or accommodation in order to participate in a meeting, should direct such request to the Superintendent's Office, at (951) 926-9244, at least 48 hours before the meeting, if possible.    


PUBLIC COMMENTS Members of the audience may address the Board on each agenda or non-agenda item.  The Ralph M. Brown Act, and in accordance with Board Policy 9323, limits the Governing Board and staff's ability to respond to comments on non-agendized matters at the time such comments are made. If appropriate, the Board may direct the Superintendent to follow up on topics brought up in public comment. Public comments are limited to three (3) minutes per speaker and twenty (20) minutes per topic.  All requests to address the Board of Trustees must be made in person by completing the “Request to Address the Board of Trustees” speaker slip to the Executive Assistant prior to the start of the Board Meeting. The Regular Board Meeting is scheduled to begin at 4:30 p.m. (Closed Session) and 5:30 p.m. (Open Session)**) Any comments received after this time will not be included. Comments will be read into the record during the designated public comment time as specified. Please note that the agenda includes the following sections:

CLOSED SESSION items pertaining to personnel, negotiations, and activities, which may result in litigation, may be discussed in Closed Session.

CONSENT AGENDA ITEMS?are matters that are considered to be routine and will be enacted with one vote. Consent Agenda items are considered routine, requiring no discussion, and are normally all approved at one time by the Board. A Board member may request that an item be withdrawn from the Consent Agenda.

ACTION ITEMS are matters on which the Board may vote this evening. The Board President will introduce each Action Item. Normal procedure on Action Items includes: (1) Motion and second will be made on each item to begin discussion; (2) Questions or clarification by Board members; additional background information or analysis from the administration on the item proposed for action; (3) Hear comments from the audience, if the audience chooses to withhold their Public Comment to the appropriate place on the agenda, so the Board may receive input from the public prior to the Board's discussion; (4) Members of the Board will enter into discussion; and (5) Taking action on the agenda item.

INFORMATION ITEMS are matters presented for information only, with no vote taken at this meeting. Information Items are generally included on the agenda for two reasons: (1) To solicit reactions from the Board and public on matters which may be presented to the Board for action at a later date; and (2) To provide presentations and information on a wide range of matters of interest to the Board of Trustees and public, but which require no action.
