Welcome to the Greene County School System's eBOARD site!
The Greene County Board of Education is the official governing body for our public school district. The board consists of five elected members. One member serves as the chairperson and is elected by all the citizens of the county to a four year term. The other four members are elected by districts to four year overlapping terms. You can learn more about our current board members by reading their bios.

The Greene County Board of Education is dedicated to develop policy and oversee budget and spending to ensure that all students acquire the knowledge, skills, and values necessary to live a productive, rewarding life as responsible citizens.
  


Board Meetings
The Greene County Board of Education holds regular monthly business meetings on the third Thursday of each month, beginning at 6:00 p.m. (*Unless otherwise noted on the BOE meeting schedule calendar.)  Additional meetings are announced in advanced so that the public has an opportunity to attend (Board Policy BCAC).
 
Meetings are held at the Greene County Board of Education Central Office (aka: Corry-Boston-Jackson (CBJ) Educational Complex) located at 101 East Third Street, Greensboro, Georgia. Meetings begin at 6:00 p.m. (Unless otherwise posted.) If you need further information, please contact the Greene County Board of Education Central Office at 706-453-7688.

In an effort to keep the residents of Greene County better informed of the content of meetings, video recordings of the Greene County Board of Education Regular Meetings are uploaded to the School System's YouTube Channel. In most cases, video recordings will be posted within 72 business hours of the Board meeting and made available until they expire.
