Chairperson, Mark Collins, called the meeting to order.

Superintendent's Update on Financial
Mr. Terry shared the results of the Financial Audit and a handout was given with the detailed information.
Allotments
Mr. Terry shared that we will be adding (2) classroom teachers and (1) support position for the 26/27 school year.
Title I Funds
Principal Terry shared that there hasn't been any news on the Title Funds for 2026/2027, as of the meeting date.
Charter budget review
Mr. Terry shared that the extra classroom radios and math kits had been purchased, that were added to the Charter budget previously.
PBIS Update
Kevin Terry shared upcoming events and news about the PBIS program.
PreK & Kindergarten Registration
It was announced that the PreK lottery drawing and Kindergarten registration are going to be online this year, as well as the events planned for the upcoming year transition.
Reading Training and Literacy Law

Safety
Mr. Terry mentioned that our new SRD, Deputy James, is a great asset to the school and thankful to have him.
Cub Cadets
Mr. Terry shared that the 6 week Spring Tutoring is coming up for 1st and 2nd grade students focusing on reading.
Recent & Upcoming Events
Mr. Terry mentioned the recent Boosterthon fundraiser, held by the PTO, went well and the school met their goal. He also highlighted the students that participated in the Young Aurthers Tea and winners at the district level.
ACE Luncheon
It was announced that the ACE Luncheon will be held on April 24th at CCA, from 11:30-1:00.

Charter budget
Mr. Terry reviewed the current budget and proposed using the remaining funds to purchase Math Kits for kindergarten and 1st grade, as well as more radios for classrooms, if budget allows.
Boosterthon
Principal Terry announced the new fundraising event, Boosterthon, and the fun run that the students will be able to participate in.
STREAM Night
Upcoming Events
Mr. Terry discussed a few events that are coming up and excited about. A few highlighted were PaperPie book fair, Blood Drive, STREAM Night, Superintendent visit and the annual Spring Fling, just to name a few.
Mid-Year Monitoring
Mr. Terry discussed, with the team, the current status and plans of monitoring.
Read Across America
Mr. Terry invited the group to participate in our family reading event for Read Across America that is coming up.

New Admin
Mr. Kevin Terry announced the new administration to the group, himself as Principal and the new Assistant Principal is Ms. Krispen Brant.
School Calendars
Mr. Terry shared the 2026/2027 School Calendar that was approved.
PBIS
Principal Terry reviewed and discussed PBIS and what all we are doing, as a school.
School Improvement Plan Update
Mr. Terry discussed the current status of progress at the mid-year evaluation, and how the teachers are exploring new ideas to focus on meeting current goals.
School Climate Survey
Coming up soon, to be completed by teachers, staff and parents.
Recent/Upcoming Events and Activities
Principal Terry discussed some events with the group, including, Winter Benchmark testing, new SRO, Christmas Chorus Concert at LFO, WIN Night, Parent Luncheon and a few other activities.

Charter Funds Update
Principal Robbins reviewed the use of funds for Charter.
Chorus Concert
2nd grade Chorus students will perform their Christmas concert in December.
PBIS
Julie Robbins highlighted the upcoming activities for PBIS and discussed the Distinguished Award from the state of Georgia.
Ben Carson Reading Room update
Review of School Improvement Plan
Mrs. Robbins shared a handout and discussed the School Improvement Plan with the group.
Upcoming Events
Mrs. Robbins reviewed the upcoming events, like the school-wide Trick or Treat event, Pre-K Parent luncheon and other activites.
Personnel Update
Principal, Julie Robbins, announced that she accepted a new position and will now be the Elementary Improvement Specialist at the county office starting in January 2026. She reviewed the process of hiring a new school principal.

Conflict Of Interest
The Conflict of Interset Policy was given out to the memebers to be reviewed.
SI Plan & Data
Mrs. Robbins discussed the School Improvement Plan and data with the members and highlighted the areas of focus for each grade level this school year and goals set.
Run Hide Survive Drill invite
All members were invited to attend our first Drill for the school year.
