Parent Square Implementation
Mr. Culbreth informed members of an upcoming change in the way we disseminate information to our parents. Beginning July 1, 2026, we will use the Parent Square platform. This will cover text alerts, social media posts, and teacher (small group) communication.
Questions and Updates
Mr. Culbreth informed the members that so far this year the clothing bins have collected 5,500 pounds, giving us a profit of $550.00. Per the coordinator, we have the highest producing bins in the area.

Ms. Miller mentioned that the ACE Member Lunch with Mr. Nix is April 24, 2026 from 11:30 am - 1:00 pm at the College and Career Academy. Mr. Donahoo is our representative.
Questions and Updates
Ms. Miller asked if we had an update regarding the Clothing Bin. She said that she had been using it and it seems like it is being used. Mr. Culbreth said it was doing well, and the company asked if they could send an additional bin. Now there is a bin located behind the school in the gravel lot in addition to the bin in the baseball parking lot.

RECOGNITIONS
Mr. Culbreth recognized our Winter Sports groups.
- Our Girls Basketball Team, coached by Macey Gregg and April Castleberry, made it to the semifinals for the NGAC Tournament.
- Our Boys Basketball Team, coached by Mathon Culpepper and Camden Green, were eliminated in the first round of the NGAC Tournament but showed a lot of growth throughout the season.
- Our Wrestling Teams, coached by Kelly Williams and Nathan Williams, performed well this season. Of particular note was their performance in the Duals. This is the first year that we have had both a boys' team and a girls' team.

Parent School Climate Survey
GADOE Ready Georgia Seal of Preparedness
Mr. Culbreth shared with the group that LMS has been awarded the GADOE Ready Georgia Seal of Preparedness. We are one of seven or eight schools in the district that received this recognition. We are the only Middle School to receive this award.
Legislative Update
Mr. Culbreth informed the group of possible legislation (Home Act) that could affect public education. If this bill is approved, it would eliminate local property tax by 2032. 40% of our school funds come from local property taxes. This bill is currently in the House of Representatives. The Senate is pushing for a bill that would reduce income tax. For the Home Act to be passed, it would require an amendment to the State Constitution. Mr. Culbreth said he would inform the team of any additional updates.
Questions and Updates
Mr. Culbreth gave an update on the Clothing Recycling Bin that we voted on last month. There was a $100 sign-on bonus and they collected 1,417 pounds of clothing. This translates into $141.70 for our school.

- This is the first year that our Dance Team has participated in team competitions. They have won the first two competitions of the year.
- We had twelve students that were selected for the District Band Honor Band and one student (Kian Johnson) who was selected for the All-State Band. Kian was competing with students from 900 band programs from across the State.

CCRPI Results for 2024-2025
Mr. Culbreth went over the CCRPI results. LMS has achieved lots of growth and progress. Because of the growth and improvement, our single score from the Governor's Office went up, which allowed us to be removed from the Promise List.

Mr. Nix, Catoosa County Public Schools Superintendent, welcomed the LSGT members from each of the county schools.
Introductions
Mr. Nix introduced members from the School Board who were in attendance.

Mr. Nix then introduced Ms. Susan Avant from the Charter System Foundation as our speaker/teacher for this training.

Mr. Culbreth informed members that we needed to meet in order to review/approve/recommend the calendar options for the 2026-2027 and 2027-2028 school years.

Review 2026-2027 Calendar Options
Members reviewed copies of the Draft A and Draft B calendar options for 2026-2027.

Mr. Culbreth informed the team that the staff chose Draft A with a 79.5% approval rating.
Review 2027-2028 Calendar Options
Members reviewed copies of the Draft A and Draft B calendar options for 2027-2028.

Mr. Culbreth informed the team that the staff chose Draft A with a 92.3% approval rating.

Ms. Stallings mentioned that it would be good if there was consistency between the calendars for the two school year. She suggested that they change the in-service dat on February 18, 2028 to February 22, 2028.
