Mitzi Mew shared dates for 2026-2027 year. November County-wide training date will be updated and sent to members once received by county office.
Discuss MAP Testing and Data
Mrs. Dyer shared that MAP & Amira benchmark testing is conducted this week. She explained that schedules were modified to accommodate this time for students and teachers. She also explained how this data captured from these benchmark tests help to group students according to their need in reading and math.

PTO Fundraiser
My Buddy-a-thon fundraiser will take place on March 27.
Awards Day SY25-26
Awards Day is scheduled for May 15.
FAST Conference #2 (Feb. 2-6) report
Mitzi Mew shared that 276 meetings were held (84% of possible meetings) during Title I FAST Conference week. Overall, very positive feedback received.
Book Fair March 4-6
Book Fair will be open during "Read Across America" week.
Transition to Middle School breakfast - April 10
Mitzi Mew shared that our upcoming Transition to Middle School will be on Friday, April 10 at 7 a.m., with PTO provided breakfast and Dr. Travillian (HMS Principal) as the guest speaker.
Virtual FAST Group Meeting #2 - March 19
Spring Partnership Luncheon - March 27 at 11 a.m.
Mitzi Mew shared that our Spring Partnership Luncheon is on March 27 at 11 a.m., with a huge welcome to our LSGT team. This luncheon is a way to say 'thanks' to all of our school partners for a wonderful year.
Virtual Spring Parent Advisory Council (PAC) meeting and Volunteer Luncheon (in-person) - April 15
Mitzi Mew shared that this is a Title I event for all parents and volunteers. The PAC meeting will take place via a virtual SMORES presentation on our website and email. Volunteer luncheon will be in-person as our way to say "thanks" to any parent/family member who has volunteered in any capacity this school year.

Pre-K Information SY26-27
Mrs. Dyer shared that Pre-K registration would open soon county-wide, and our local registration for Pre-K & Kindergarten is scheduled in person for May 5 at our Welcome to Woodstation night.

SY 2026-2027 Calendar Selection information
Tutoring Schedule
Mrs. Dyer shared the plan for Tutoring as follows: Current WES teachers would tutor a group of selected students for an intensive time prior to Milestones in April. She will follow up once a calendar is set.
Calendars 2026-2027 and 2027-2028
Mrs. Dyer shared that the new calendar links for the next two years are available on CCPS website and on the SMOREs, beginning this week for planning purposes.
FAST Conference #2 February 2-6, 2026
Mitzi Mew shared that our second and final FAST conference for this school year is next week, February 2-6. Updated data reports (MAP & Amira Fluency), as well as school-home partnership continuous plan will be discussed with each family.

F.A.S.T. Literacy Night - October 20 at 5 pm
Mrs. Mitzi Mew shared that this night is part of our Title I FAST program and is a way to provide parents with fun reading activities to engage with students at home.
F.A.S.T. Conference Week November 3-7
Mrs. Mitzi Mew shared that is part of Family And School Team (FAST) program. All parents are invited to meet with teachers, where updated student data, at-home activities, and Title I Family-School Compact are shared. Mrs. Dyer elaborated that this is a crucial meeting with all families to receive student progress for student success.
MAP Data and Interventions
Mrs. Rebecca Barrett shared with the team regarding intervention time (including WIN time) at Woodstation. A copy of this presentation is made available on the school website for all families.
School Improvement Plan
Mrs. Dyer shared the 2025-2026 School Improvement Plan with the team. This highlights school goals for ELA and Math. A copy of the plan is made available on the school website. She took questions from the team regarding the decision-making process and how it works for all students.
