Following discussion, consensus was reached on the proposed changes prior to moving the items forward for adoption.

A motion was made to move BP, Regulation, Exhibit 1, and new Exhibit 2 6173: Education for Homeless Children forward for adoption. Discussion focused on exemptions from district-established graduation requirements and priority program access for homeless students.

A motion was made to move BP and Regulation 6173.1: Education for Foster Youth forward for adoption.

A motion was made to move New BP and Regulation 6173.2: Education of Children of Military Families forward for adoption. It was noted that wording shown in blue within the BP is optional.

A motion was made to move Regulation 6173.3: Education for Juvenile Court School Students forward for adoption.

A motion was made to move BP and Regulation 6142.7: Physical Education and Activity forward for adoption.

A motion was made to move BP 5030: Student Wellness forward for adoption. It was noted that the policy was updated in conjunction with Child Nutrition Services and went through the Superintendent's Council with school and parent/guardian leaders for review prior to being brought forward for consideration.

A motion was also made to bring forward Board Policy 4119.24/4219.24/4319.24 – Maintaining Appropriate Adult-Student Interactions for adoption. Discussion centered on appropriate teacher–student interactions and the expanded list of prohibited employee conduct.

Motion was made to bring Policy and Regulation 5142: Safety, forward for adoption.
Discussion focused on the importance of maintaining a safe school environment that supports learning, emphasizing that students are subject to district rules at all times, including during district-sponsored activities, before and after-school programs, and while utilizing district-provided transportation.

Motion was made to bring Policy and new Regulation 5142.2: Safe Routes to School Program, forward for adoption.
Discussion centered on strategies to improve student safety along routes to school and initiatives to promote safety education and awareness for all students, with emphasis on scooter safety.
