July 2024 PTA Report


This summer we are very excited to be in the planning phase for the upcoming school year!  Here are some highlights that we would like to share with the board:
  • At the end of July we have scheduled a time with Miss Deanna to come help sort and prepare school supplies.
  • We are working to bring a mobile fingerprinting company to our back to school night to support our efforts to get more Pi STEM adults to complete volunteer paperwork.  We confirmed with the department of Education that this would be an acceptable form of fingerprinting for the background check paperwork.
  • We are working to bring spirit wear in house.  We are working with local vendors to print our logos and will have a spirit wear station at all school events.  We are also encouraging Pi STEM community members to donate gently used spirit wear back for our community spirit wear closet.  We want spirit wear to be accessible and available to all students, and the proceeds of our spirit wear endeavor will be used to purchase end of year Field Day shirts for every student (and hopefully staff member) free of charge.  
  • We would like to ask the board to consider allowing us the use of the Pi STEM building for a Regional State PTA meeting sometime this fall.  
  • We are excited to announce that Pi STEM will be participating in the PTA Reflections Program this year!  We have been coordinating with Mrs. Myers, and are hopeful to obtain additional funding through grant efforts to help purchase additional supplies.  The link to learn more about reflections can be found below.
  • On Wednesday, October 9th we will be hosting a Community STEM event/Silent Auction.
