Floyd County Board of Education earns GSBA Board of Distinction

The Floyd County Board of Education has been honored as a Georgia School Boards Association School Board of Distinction for 2007. SCHOOL BOARDS OF DISTINCTION – recognizes boards that have already achieved and verified compliance with the New GSBA Standards for Local Boards of Education, and that have also distinguished themselves in additional key areas of organizational structure.

GSBA updated the criteria for recognition as a Board of Distinction for 2007. The Floyd County Board of Education was one of 53 boards in Georgia to complete the new requirements for this recognition.

The Floyd County Board of Education has been a GSBA Board of Distinction since 2003 and was one of the first 11 boards in the state to achieve this level of excellence.
