Dylan Powers, a Putnam County High School senior, was recognized during Monday's night Board meeting (December 4th) after receiving a prestigious award from Georgia's Lieutenant Governor recently. Dylan Powers was awarded the Student Leadership Award November 14th during Lt. Gov. Casey Cagle's 10th Annual Business and Education Summit. Only one student from across the state is chosen for the Student Leadership Ward each year. Dylan was selected for his outstanding academic record, in which he has earned 26 healthcare related college credits and three technical college certificates. He has also obtained industry credentials as a certified nurse aide and emergency medical responder as well as volunteering for over 700 hours at Putnam General Hospital.
