CUSD Board Meetings
The Carpinteria Unified School Board meets every 2nd and 4th Tuesday at the City Hall Council Chamber (Unless otherwise specified) at 5:30 p.m., located at 5775 Carpinteria Avenue.
PUBLIC COMMENTS: In a Regular Board Meeting, the Public is welcome to comment on any agenda item or non-agenda item that is within the subject matter jurisdiction of the Board. To address the Board, please fill out a "Blue Slip" located on the table at the back of the room, and submit it to the Recording Secretary before the Session begins. The Board President usually limits individual comments to three minutes, but may modify the time limit at his/her discretion in order to assure that the Board takes care of District business. The Board President may also consider requests submitted after the meeting has begun or may call on members of the audience for comment. Please note that Agenda Items, with the agreement of the Board, may be addressed in a sequence different than what is specified below. The Board is not responsible for the content of statements made during public comment. In a Special Board Meeting, public comments shall be limited to only those items posted on the agenda (Government Code Section 54954.3).
Accessibility: In compliance with the American Disabilities Act, if you need special assistance to participate in the meeting or need this agenda provided in a disability-related alternative format, please contact Monica Thomas at (805) 684-4511. Notification at least 48 hours prior to the meeting will assist the District in making suitable arrangements.
Official Posting of Board Agendas and Agenda Attachments: The official copy of the agenda is posted at the main entrance of the Administration Office, 1400 Linden Avenue, Carpinteria, CA 93013. The agenda is posted 72 hours in advance of a regular board meeting. Agenda attachments are available in the Administration Office reception area before 5:00 PM on the Friday prior to a Tuesday Regular Board Meeting. In the event of a special or emergency board meeting, the agenda is posted 24 hours in advance and the attachments are available in the Administration Office reception area.
As a service to Internet users, the Board Of Education Meeting Agendas are posted on the District's website in addition to the posting that takes place at the Administrative Office main entrance.
Regular Board Meetings are broadcast live over Government Access Television Channel 21 and will be rebroadcast on the following Thursday, at 7:00 PM on Channel 21
