Performance Objectives, Measure and Targets

- Performance Objective A-A system is present for managing and facilitating student achievement and learning based upon consensus-driven content and performance standards.
- Performance Objective B-Increase the rigor and relevance of instruction in all four academic areas.
- Performance Objective C-Collect and analyze student performance data to identify patterns of achievement and underachievement in order to design and implement appropriate instructional interventions.
- Performance Objective D-Designing and implementing teaching - learning - assessment tasks and activities to ensure that all students achieve proficiency relative to the Georgia Standards of Excellence.
- Performance Objective A-The processes, procedures, structures, and products that focus on the operations of a school are based on ensuring attainment of standards and high levels of learning for all students.
- Performance Objective A-The school as a community of learning involves parents and community members as active participants. There is consistent and growing evidence of parental involvement and volunteerism, participation in workshops and enrichment activities, and a process of two-way communication. Everyone collaborates to help the school achieve its continuous improvement targets and short- and long-range goals.

    - Action Step b-Information from Administrative meetings, content area meetings, curriculum collaboration meetings, team meetings, and our district's GSAPS visit will be used to analyze and disaggregate student and school data to help improve instruction for all students. Continue the use of differentiated, remediated, and accelerated instruction based on this data.
  - - Action Step a-Instructional lesson and unit plans in all content areas will include the eight required elements, effective strategies, and best practices (Including, but not limited to, flexible grouping strategies; Lexile leveling of books; DEAR; vocabulary integration; student use of technology; the use of rubrics in performance tasks; teacher feedback; student monitoring their own progress; diagnostic, formative, and summative assessments; etc..)

    - Action Step c-Create a professional development session to inform all teachers of the Gifted referral process.
- - - Action Step a-Improve and monitor GSE and GPS (Connections) implementation by revising and editing units in Reading/ELA, Science, Social Studies, Math, CTAE, Fine Arts, and Physical Education.
    - Action Step b-Instructional learning units will be examined against assessement data each nine weeks to ensure the use of the most effective standards-based instructional strategies in all classes
    - Action Step c-TKES, Focus Walks, guided teacher modeling, and teacher collaboration and planning of lessons that include the eight major elements of the acquisition lesson plan will help ensure the use of best practices in each classroom setting.
    - Action Step d-Co-teach settings will incorporate more co-teach models of instruction to meet the needs of all special needs learners.
    - Action Step e-Monitor the use of the following research-based instructional strategies to support a decrease in the achievement gap between all students and African American/Economically Disadvantaged/Special Education/Hispanic/ELL/REP students: Use of graphic organizers (i.e. Thinking Maps); Differentiated Instruction; Flexible Grouping; HOTS; Vocabulary Instruction (Word Walls).
    - Action Step f-Ensure the implementation of Muti Tiered Systems of Support
  - - Action Step a-All students will develop individual academic, behavioral, social, and career goals through scheduled classroom guidance sessions and a student advocacy program.
    - Action Step b-Students will track their learning progress against current GSE/GPS (Connections) criteria in each content area class. Students should be able to articulate progress toward mastery of all standards/elements.
- - - Action Step a-The counseling department will provide the following: Classroom Guidance Sessions, Individual/Small Group Guidance Sessions, classroom guidance on state mandated career clusters, Career Awareness Programs, and college tours.
    - Action Step b-Conduct a 5th to 6th grade Transition and an 8th to 9th grade Transition orientations to help prepare students for their transitions to middle and high school.
    - Action Step c-Meet intermittently with custodial staff to ensure that custodial and school maintenance operations are being performed with fidelity.
    - Action Step d-Continue the implementation of Data Teaming via the Data Notebook process. Ensure that new teachers are properly trained in the implementation process and that all staff are implementing the program with fidelity.
    - Action Step e-Conduct the administration of Youscience in an effort to support career discovery amoung students.
